The Sunshine Coast International Readers and Writers Festival started in 2016 and offers events from over 100 authors, poets, singer-songwriters, photographers, illustrators and publishers.
There are a number of talks, presentations and workshops scheduled throughout the festival which are aimed learning about and discussing all things reading and writing.

The program is scheduled over a number of venues in and around the Sunshine Coast including the Coolum Civic Centre (which is the main venue, Festival Office and Bookshop), the Coolum Library, the Coolum Bowls Club, My Place Restaurant, the Coolum Surf Club and Jack Morgan Park.
Tickets are available for one or two days of the festival and there are also special event which are scheduled in the evenings for an additional cost. Special events include early breakfast sessions or poet and songwriters nights on Saturday evenings.
There will also be market stalls hosted at Jack Morgan Park where a huge range of artisan products will be sold and the market is free to attend. There will also be live music and roving entertainment for you to enjoy.
There is plenty of stuff for kids to do as well with kids arts and craft sessions as well as children’s storytelling, creative workshops and drawing lessons.
