There’s something for the kids, teens, and adults in the triathlon. There are varying distances available to choose from in each location. The categories are Kool Kids, Sprint, Olympic, and Rackley Swimming Enticer. There are minimum age requirements for all participants, so be sure to check the restrictions for the event you’re interested in joining.

All participants will be given a timing chip and other goods in their race pack; the chip is meant to be placed on the left ankle, but for those in the Moreton Bay and Gold Coast running events, the timing chip is worn on the race bib.

There are other simple rules to follow for the Queensland Tri-Series. Racing with any music device, including mobile phones, is prohibited. You may leave your personal belongings in the bag storage area during the race. In addition, all swimmers will be divided into waves, including a cap of 100 swimmers so that everyone has ample room to swim and make their transitions. Swimmers should check the information board for their start time or view it on the website before the race.

The triathlon welcomes team entries for at least two and no more than three participants in each. For teams, one person can run, the other can ride, and another can swim. They also permit individuals to do two legs. For bikers, any bike is welcome, whether a mountain bike, BMX, basket, or any other form. The rounds for the race take place in Moreton Bay, Raby Bay, Robina, and Caloundra.
