Goomeri is a rural town located in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, northwest of Noosa Heads and approximately 30 minutes drive from the coast.

Goomeri is popular with weekenders as it is known for its many culinary delights, including cheese shops and bakeries.

Goomeri is a historic town with a large town clock built in 1939 being one of the town’s main attractions. Goomeri is also home to the Hall of Memory, constructed in 1926 and still in use today.

Goomeri’s small-town flair not only includes its traditional buildings but also extends to its small shopping precincts and its many cafe’s and restaurants. Head to Goomeri’s main emporium and browse through where you will find a delightful array of quality crafts, fabrics and furniture.

Just outside the town, visitors will find a historic homestead known as the Booubyjan Homestead. This attractive homestead grows many varieties of olives. It hosts an extensive range of events throughout the year, including the ever-popular Pumpkin Festival the ever-popular Pumpkin Festival, which is held on the last Sunday in May each year. This event draws thousands of visitors from all parts of Queensland year after year.

If you want to spend a day outdoors, head over to Kinbombi Falls, a popular location for families with a large picnic area and BBQs. Here, you will find a walking track that leads down to a deep natural pool and another track that takes you to the top of the gorge will offer you fantastic views of the hinterland.
