Twin Waters Dog Beach

Twin Waters Dog Beach is one of many dog-friendly areas on the Sunshine Coast.

However, it is unique because it has a more relaxing atmosphere than other dog beaches.

Located just south of Mudjimba Beach, the beach is open to dog owners and pets throughout the year. Best of all, your dogs can freely swim in the protected waters, which are safe enough to swim in since they are shallow. They will have a ball spending hours in the soft sand and playing around.

Twin Waters Dog Beach is one of the many dog-friendly beaches on the Sunshine Coast. Another well-loved dog beach is at Moffat Beach, which is lovely and picturesque thanks to its palm-tree lined coast. Off-leash hours are from 4pm through 8pm daily between Russell Street and Lower Neil Street. Afterwards, have some coffee at The Pocket Espresso Bar located on Seaview Terrace, a dog-friendly café with sea views.

Shelly Beach in Caloundra is a wonderful destination known for its rock pools. Though unpatrolled, it’s safe enough to take your pup in. Dogs are allowed to roam leash-free from May through October, 4pm to 8am.

There’s also Currimundi Beach, which is a must-visit for off-leash adventures on its soft sand. You and your pup can also explore the nearby lake and enjoy activities on the inland trails. It’s considered one of the best dog-friendly beaches in Queensland and for a good reason. Bring a picnic blanket and your dog for hours of fun here.

Other beautiful dog-friendly areas include Wurtulla Beach, Coolum Beach, Maroochydore River, Buddina, Sunshine Beach, Noosa, and Marcus Beach.
