Caloundra Regional Art Gallery – Sunshine Coast, Queensland

What makes the Caloundra Regional Gallery unique is how it has such a strong educational focus, evidenced by one of their core missions being to provide economic, cultural, and social growth of their community. One way they accomplish this is through their Art Kids Club, which is held on the first Saturday of every month.

Many rotating exhibitions are held at the gallery and have included painting, photography, sculpture, film and textile. Check the gallery’s current schedule for the latest exhibitions and program of events.

The gallery also often holds workshops for locals and visitors where you can learn a new skill. Past workshops have included weaving where participants learned how to weave traditional toys, baskets, hair decorations and crafts from ancient Papua New Guinean methods.

Getting to the gallery is easy. There is car parking available as well as bus and train services which stop in Caloundra. If you are looking for accommodation in Caloundra, click on the link below to find the best deals.
