There are always dozens of activities thoughtfully planned out so that the whole family can enjoy them. These include rodeo, wood chop, horse events, sideshows, chainsaw post ripping, calf day, chooks, and pig racing, all in a rustic country atmosphere. The National Rodeo Association also hosts exciting events. In addition, exciting competitions in horticulture, cooking, craft, and sewing will also take place.

The Kenilworth Show and Rodeo start at 8am, with a thrilling program of activities lined up each year. It takes place at the Kenilworth Showgrounds each year, a community-owned and run venue specialising in camping and equestrian activities – located by the scenic Mary River. The showgrounds are fully equipped so you can be sure of a comfortable experience. Some amenities include a dining room, kitchen, recreation hall, and bathrooms.

You can stay a night or two more before or after the event; choose from powered and unpowered sites. While here, visitors can enjoy any outdoor activities the region is known for, including kayaking, fishing, and swimming throughout the year. On top of all that, you’ll be a quick drive away from some of Queensland’s most beautiful national parks.
