The park’s facilities include a car park, electric BBQs, play equipment for kids, tables, shelter, seats, a water fountain, and toilets. These are always kept clean and well-maintained, plus the beach has a properly shaded area so you can enjoy food and drinks – even on bright, sunny days. If you prefer to buy your food instead of taking it with you, a small kiosk sells delicious food, which you can savour with views of the waterway.

Kalmakuta Drive Park is one of the many family-friendly destinations to explore while visiting Sandstone Point and its surroundings, located just across Bribie Island. It’s conveniently located near many of the town’s other amenities, so visitors can easily access everything they need during their holiday. Whether it’s a supermarket, shopping centre, dental or medical services, you can easily find it in town.

The nearby Godwin Beach is worth visiting too. Loved for its tranquil surroundings, the beach is located at the northern end of Deception Bay. It’s an excellent place for bird and wildlife watching, as well as photography. It’s also just 5 minutes away by car from Bribie Island.

The entire residential area is designed with several other parks that you can take the kids to. These include Lions Park, Pirate Park, Sandstone Park, and the Sandstone Point Foreshore Walk. Additionally, the region’s rich natural attractions make it favourable for a memorable getaway, especially in Bribie Island, which has stunning coastal scenery, boating, fishing, camping, beaches, and so much more.

Kalmakuta Drive Park is a must-visit for families with young children in the Moreton Bay region.
