Carlo Point

Carlo Point is a popular attraction in Rainbow Beach. If you’re looking for a laid-back coastal destination with plenty of opportunities to relax, this place is highly recommended.

Sunset is the best time to visit the marina and boat ramp, as visitors enjoy golden hour here with a view and delicious fish and chips.

If you get lucky, you may even get lucky by seeing a dolphin, especially during high tide! The pelicans often love to hang out at the pontoon. The caravan park by the marina is an excellent place to camp. The marina is far from the crowds, making it appealing to visitors who don’t mind going out of town to unwind.

The area around Carlo Point marina also has several great accommodation options, all of which are charming. If you aren’t keen on camping, these charming boutique stays have got what you need. For many, this stunning spot is the best-kept secret of Rainbow Beach.

Bring your camera along as there is lots to photograph here, more than the beautiful sunsets: local fishermen, wildlife, mudflats, and the boats.

Don’t miss the Carlo Sand Blow while you’re here. This one-of-a-kind attraction in the Cooloola Recreation Area invites you to walk through the lush rainforest and into the Carlo Sand Blow, home to a unique landscape with breathtaking views of the beach, Fraser Island, the Coloured Sands, Double Island Point, and Inskip Peninsula. The walking track takes just an hour to finish.

The Cooloola Recreation Area is highly recommended during your visit to Carlo Point, especially if you enjoy four-wheel driving. The dramatic coastal cliffs and sandy areas are perfect for some off-road adventure; other outdoor activities that can be enjoyed here include fishing from the ocean, canoeing, hiking, and much more.

Carlo Point and its surrounding areas are the ideal destinations for adventure and outdoor enthusiasts.
