The park was named after the many koala food trees found here. More importantly, it provides a home for various wildlife, including several bird species, mammals, marsupials, butterflies, reptiles, and much more. The magnificent open forests are also home to koalas, echidnas, wallabies, and threatened gliders. Many believe that it’s the last remaining piece of bushland in this area, making its preservation even more important.

Sheep Station Creek Conservation Park is only 10 minutes away from Morayfield, so visitors can easily spend hours in nature without ever being too far from the comforts of the city. This natural oasis in the centre of suburbia is well-loved by locals and visitors. The walking tracks are picturesque, and they are accessible to visitors of all abilities and ages. Some seating is provided around sections of the track for those who want to grab a quick rest.

The Grey Gum Circuit within the park is a shared-use trail that takes visitors through the grassy areas. It features three walking circuits – all of which are easy. The circuit itself is 4.4 kilometres looping, ideal for horse riders and walkers, while the Spotted Gum Trail is 1.2 kilometres each way that takes roughly 20 minutes on foot. Meanwhile, the Ironbark Ridge Trail is 1.1 kilometres each way for walkers.

Sheep Station Creek Conservation Park provides outdoor lovers with excellent opportunities and endless exploration. This is a place you can easily spend the day alone or discovering with your loved ones as you explore the various trails.
