In recent years, the town has attracted many well-known builders and thanks to them, there is now an in-demand community surrounding the pristine lake. It’s not surprising that many people want to live here because it’s surrounded by natural beauty, including numerous parks and beaches. There are family-friendly amenities, including playgrounds, community spaces, bikeways, and landscaped parkways.

Sandstone Lakes has several tourist facilities, including holiday homes, cabins, and small hotels for visitors. If you need to buy some essentials for your trip, visit the Sandstone Lakes Plaza, a retail complex located in the town with numerous shops. Stock up on snacks, picnic goods, and drinks because there are multiple outdoor activities to enjoy, especially in Pumicestone Passage. This lovely 35 km strip of water begins on one end of Bribie Island and stretches down to Deception Bay.

Pumicestone Passage makes up a portion of the Moreton Bay Marine Park and is primarily a shallow estuary with sandbanks and tidal channels that make it the ideal destination for a day of water sports. Whether you love jet-skiing, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding or want to relax under the sun in your catamaran, this is the perfect place to do so. The whole family will enjoy the sights here, not to mention being able to spot sea life such as dolphins, turtles, and dugongs during certain times of the year.

Sandstone Lakes and the nearby attractions make this area worth visiting.
