Cruice Park

Cruice Park is a picturesque spot for kids to relax and unwind during your drive around the stunning Moreton Bay Region.

Located just 4km away from Woodford on Kilcoy-Beerwah Road, the park was specifically designed for the fun and safety of toddlers.

The recreational area features spider ropes and slides, though a soft-fall ground gives parents peace of mind that kids won’t suffer from serious injuries. Natural shade and seated areas by the gum trees are ideal for parents to rejuvenate with the cool breeze. If your adventures leave you seeking an overnight respite, you can stay at the rest area for free at the park, too, with a maximum stay of 20 hours. Pull up on your trailer or caravan, take in the sunset over the Bellthorpe National Park, and get ready to enjoy your evening here.

The Ludwig Leichhardt Memorial is also located at Cruice Park. Ludwig was famous during the early days for his brave explorations of central and northern Australia. He was considered a national hero and even given the moniker “Prince of Explorers” until his unfortunate disappearance when he was just 35. It occurred during his expedition in the Darling Downs, headed for the Swan River in Western Australia.

The park is well-maintained, thanks to the efforts of the Moreton Bay Regional Council. Dogs are allowed, and there is mobile phone and television reception as well. However, there is no potable water here, so be sure to pack your own water and food. There are also toilet facilities for a more comfortable stay.

Cruice Park is a great pit stop for your travels around Moreton Bay Region.
