The park has received upgrades, and its main U-shaped bowl has been improved. It’s also been painted with greys and blues. The bowl itself is spacious and can accommodate several skaters safely at one time. Skaters should wear pads and helmets since the concrete surface can be slippery.

Near the Coolum Beach Skatepark is a smaller pill-shaped bowl that is suitable for younger shredders, as well as kids on scooters. The half-pipe and street area provide excellent yet safe obstacles for practice.

The facility is located opposite a strip featuring numerous restaurants, cafes, and shops, creating the ideal destination for the whole family to enjoy.

If you are looking for some indoor skateboarding, check out Chiggy’s. It’s the only indoor skate facility on the Sunshine Coast. Skate coaches are available for four 3-hour sessions each day, and they are more than happy to help you whether you are a newbie or advanced skater. Chiggy’s skate course feature half pipes, flat bars, pool coping, ledges, vert walls, wheelchair ramps, rails, and much more, all of which have been custom-built for them. Meanwhile, spectators can watch comfortably from the lounge spaces located upstairs.

Coolum Beach has much to offer skaters as well as outdoor lovers. This laid-back, family-friendly town is famous among holidaymakers and continually attracts skaters and outdoor exercise enthusiasts throughout the year. Behind the beach is a grassy area next to the skate ramp, ideal for picnics, BBQs, and sports like football and cricket.

Coolum Beach Skatepark and its surrounding areas are well worth a visit for families and groups of friends.
