Boasting a magnificent golden shoreline and sparkling blue wavy seas, this beach between Devils Kitchen and Hell’s Gates offers visitors a secluded, romantic getaway.

Before you think it’s just another beach on the Sunshine Coast, think again! This bay’s remoteness makes it ideal for nudist swimming, as most tourists who come here have been known to wear nothing more than sunscreen. Don’t be surprised if you end up seeing some naked bathers while here, but that’s part of its charm since it’s so isolated.

Alexandria Bay is a serene destination worthy of a visit, whether you choose to bathe in swimwear or not. Remember that there are no amenities nearby, so pack up everything you need for the day, including water and food. The nearest toilets can be found by Tea Tree Bay.

To get here, take McAnally Drive and a 20-minute walk which takes you directly to the bay. Alternatively, you can also walk through Noosa Heads, which will take you on a scenic hike within the park. There are several entry points to get here, and all of them require a short walk, so make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes.

While here, spend some time immersing yourself in the natural beauty of the Noosa National Park, home to the Noosa Headlands and the stunning areas of Peregian, Coolum, and Lake Weyba. The park serves as an essential wildlife sanctuary that is a home for vibrant wallum heathland, dense rainforests, melaleuca, eucalyptus, and many other types of trees. The park is equipped with wood BBQs, toilets, lookouts, picnic tables, walking tracks, wheelchair access, and an information centre.

Alexandria Bay will surely be one of the major highlights of your trip.
