Castaways Beach

Noosa’s eastern shores boast several beautiful and pristine beaches. One of those is Castaways Beach which is located just 7kms south of Noosa Heads.

This tiny residential suburb on the Sunshine Coast is popular with swimmers and surfers who come for the uncrowded and relaxing atmosphere.

Castaways Beach, Resort Accommodation, Queensland

Many sections of this public beach allow pets, so feel free to walk your dog along this pristine section of beach. Swimming is best in summer as the water is warm and there are a few waves for those who would like to surf.

Being in such proximity to Noosa Heads, visitors should ensure they visit the Noosa National Park during their stay here; you will get some of the best views of the Sunshine Coast from its stunning lookouts and viewing platforms. The Noosa National Park features spectacular coastal scenery and provides an important refuge for native wildlife, including the koala, glossy black-cockatoo, ground parrot and wallum froglet.

There are also picnic facilities within the park to overlook the beautiful Laguna Bay whilst you have a bite to eat. You will find picnic tables, BBQ’s, drinking water and public toilets as well as information displays which gives details about special features of the park.

There are also several accommodation options for your stay along Castaways Beach, including resorts, private apartment rentals, and family-sized holiday homes. Most accommodations come with private rooms and ensuites, kitchens, lounge areas and free Wi-Fi. Click the link below to find the best accommodation deals.
