Yandina Historic House

The Yandina Historic House is a fascinating museum and art gallery. The house was built from 1899-1900 by John Gustave Sommer, who was a local pioneer.

It had changed ownership several times throughout the decades before the Yandina Historical Society took it over in 2003.

It houses a fantastic collection of items, including the papers detailing the history of Yandina written up by the late Fred Fink. The museum has a digital display that tells the story that includes many significant events of the town’s humble beginnings, from 1870 through today.
