The beach is popular for water sports, including surfing, swimming, and bodyboarding. Behind the beach are little shops that offer excellent food and snacks – don’t miss out on the delicious fish and chips here. Dogs are welcome, too, so bring the whole family for a full day of sun and fun here. Recently, it’s garnered attention for being another place for 4WD sand driving, so if that’s your cup of tea, be sure to visit.

Woorim Beach boasts miles of quiet and pristine shores. Even though it’s a top-notch attraction here, the spacious area means that it never gets crowded. During the weekends and late afternoons, it’s a great place to take the kids or your dogs in for long walks and some playtime. Sunsets here are beautiful as well! If you get lucky, you may be able to spot a few dolphins not too far from the shore too. Some facilities available include car parks, a marked area where you can take your dog off-leash, dog poo bags, and bins.

The beach is also suitable for swimming; keep an eye out for the waves. While it’s generally safe, the big waves can make swimming hazardous as drags and rips can occur, especially in Bongaree Beach. If this area seems like a place you’d want to spend a night or two, there are hotels, motels, holiday houses, and resorts, with accommodation also located around the beach itself.

Woorim Beach is undoubtedly one of the best beaches in Moreton Bay, and for a good reason!
