Best of all, Pumicestone Lions Park provides you with panoramic views of the stunning Pumicestone Passage. If you’re lucky, you could even spot marine life such as whales, dolphins, and dugongs. The best time to visit if you’re after seeing whales would be from June through to October. The park itself also features a playground and sandpit for children.
A parking lot can be found just off the main road, and it’s thoughtfully designed with accessible parking spaces. The toilet block adjacent to the carpark has facilities for all abilities, including Braille signage. Additionally, a water fountain is provided, so all visitors can always be properly hydrated. Other facilities include BBQs, rubbish bins, chairs, and tables.
The park is terrific for those who want to visit and bring their own food for a picnic. However, if you’d rather buy takeaway food, there are several dining options nearby. These include The Jetty Restaurant, La Vera Gourmet Pizza, Golden Prawn Seafood and Takeaway, and much more.
While on Bribie Island, there are tons of kid-friendly activities you can do with your children. The beautiful beaches are always a major highlight, which is fantastic for kids. The eastern side is known for the wonderful surfing that teenagers enjoy, though the Passage Side has gentler waves and shallow waters ideal for younger kids to swim safely.
