It’s located by the Noosa Yacht Club by the river, making this destination perfect for hours of outdoor play.

The park was unveiled in 2008, and throughout the years, it has become a popular place for families. It features a Liberty swing, a sunken ship called The Liberty, a spinning digger, a sand conveyor belt, and several slides. Pirate “sails” adorn the park while providing shade for the kids to run around. Best of all, everyone can go for a dip in the river after hours of playing.

The Noosa River Pirate Playground is equipped with car parks, seats, a bike and walking path, BBQs, toilets, and tables. It is furnished with everything you need for a relaxing day by the river. Even better, if you enjoy water sports, the Noosa River offers excellent kayaking, canoeing, paddling, or even cruising aboard a motorboat or sailboat.

Around the park and the river, there are so many fun activities to enjoy. You can also engage the whole family in some fun exercise by hiring a bike or playing tennis. There are numerous parklands with tree-lined paths suitable for walking and cycling; they are also friendly for strollers or wheelchairs.

Of course, all that activity can surely work up an appetite! But the good news is that there are many choices for food and drink near the Noosa River Pirate Playground. Head over to Hastings Street for a delicious coffee or a meal, though heading to nearby Noosa Heads is also a great idea for their charming restaurants and scenery to go with it.

The Noosa River Pirate Playground and its surrounding attractions are a must-visit for families visiting the Sunshine Coast.
