The Mooloolah Valley Skate Park is also conveniently located near the Mooloolah Valley Soccer Field, so the area is recommended for families with active kids as there are many exciting sports to do while here. There are many attractions to do aside from sports, too. This tranquil yet charming rural town has something to enjoy no matter what your age is.
After some sports, check out the Ewen Maddock Dam just nearby. It was built from 1976 to 1983 right across Addlington Creek, one of the Mooloolah River tributaries. It provides the drinking water supply for South East Queensland but is also home to numerous attractions. Just be sure to check for the schedule when the dam reaches full capacity; water spills over, albeit safely. You can do some activities here, including bushwalking, taking your dogs on leash, and horse riding.
Young ones will be delighted with horse riding at the Mooloolah Valley Riding Centre, an excellent dude ranch. They offer a luxurious holiday in quaint cottages in a beautiful country homestead set amongst stunning tropical gardens. There are horses to suit varying riding styles and experiences.
