Avid fishers love coming to try their hand at catching fish here. Depending on the season, you might get lucky enough to spot some whales and turtles as well. The boardwalk is a picturesque area and provides a scenic place for a quick walk, though if you want to swim, the best area is nearby the Spit.

The Mooloolaba Rock Wall makes for a great stop as you explore this area. The nearby Point Park is also worth visiting, which you can check out before or after, as it’s ideal for a picnic. Though small, the park is worth visiting for the scenery, situated on a patch by the coast on the Mooloolaba Spit.

Come for a BBQ, go for a relaxing stroll along the river banks, or hire a boat to discover the sights from the sea. Common sightings include cormorants and pelicans who stop by to get some fish but be wary of the pigeons and seagulls who have been known to try and steal food.

The Mooloolaba Fish Market is a few minutes away, which is truly a seafood lovers’ paradise. Just some of the mouth-watering delights you can find here are fish and chips, reef fish, a variety of grilled fish, salmon, oysters, prawns, lobster, and so much more. You can enjoy it on location or order takeaway.

If you have kids, don’t forget to take them to the Pirate Ship Playground before heading home.

The Mooloolaba Rock Wall and nearby attractions have everything you need for a fantastic day out.
