The curved beach is situated in the sheltered area of Point Cartwright, and on its eastern end is the Mooloolaba Harbour entrance. There is continuous foreshore on the back of the beach, and the Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club is located on the northern end. The beach usually has normal low waves, which make it suitable for swimming most of the year. Just be wary of the rips that occur once waves hit a metre high and the permanent rip that occurs in the northern rocks.

Mooloolaba Beach is a great place for people who want to sunbake, swim, and fish. The best area for fishing here is in the harbourside. Other facilities found on the beach are the caravan park and the shaded car park. The fine white sand and beautiful scenery make this a perfect holiday paradise best shared with the whole family and your loved ones. From the beach, it’s only a few minutes walk to the Mooloolaba Spit, where you can enjoy sheltered swimming and excellent cafes with fresh seafood offerings.

The stylish beachfront esplanade features numerous restaurants, cafes, and shops, while The Wharf’s alfresco cafes, fashion boutiques, and juice bars invite you to come with an appetite. Kids will love the exciting activities in and around the beach, such as SEA Life Sunshine Coast and a wide range of entertainment options for visitors of any age.

Spend time at the Esplanade, which provides the idyllic setting for people watching or just taking in views of the Pacific. With all these stunning destinations, it’s no surprise this beach has become the holiday centre of the Sunshine Coast.

Mooloolaba Beach is a must-visit while travelling to this region. Make sure you check out the range of accommodation choices nearby, including several resorts, apartments, hotels, holiday houses, bed and breakfasts, cottages and retreats.
