Kenilworth Bluff Creek Campground & Wilcox Family Park, Walk Map, QLD

The Bluff Creek Campground is 100 acres large and is blessed with native trees, which many wildlife species call home. For this reason, it’s become popular with nature-loving visitors from near and far. The land was once used to raise livestock. Today, the wide-open spaces are an excellent opportunity to recharge and get close to the natural surroundings. There are no powered sites, so you can completely unplug; it’s close to bike trails and river swimming holes.

Kenilworth Bluff is also conveniently located near many local eateries and is equipped with hot showers and flushing toilets. They already provide firewood so guests can enjoy campfires. It’s right across the Mary River, and you can choose to have direct access to it or stay in a scenic spot with views. The Mary River is excellent for swimming, fishing, canoeing, and relaxing.

If you are feeling adventurous, the Wilcox Family Park Trail is located nearby. It will take you through a mixture of woodland and rainforest to the top of the bluff, making your way up to an elevation of 523 metres and across to numerous lookout points with spectacular views.

Whether you’re looking for a camping holiday filled with activity and adventure or one where you do nothing at all, Kenilworth Bluff is perfect for you. The entire region is best explored with an appetite as fantastic local cheese, wine, and food markets nearby. Beaches are also close to the property and are just a short drive away.

Other popular activities near the campgrounds include horseback riding, mountain biking, canoeing, and swimming. The Dandelion Horse Lodge is a quick drive away; take the family here for a fun way to explore the area on horseback. For mountain biking, all levels are welcome; you can even begin your journey from the campsite.

The Bluff Creek Campground offers a truly unique experience on the Sunshine Coast.
