Dick Caplick Park

Dick Caplick Park is a popular playground in Eumundi.

Not only is it packed with fun play equipment for the kids, but it’s also a scenic park located right by majestic fig trees.

Located on Eumundi’s main street, the park provides a haven for families to spend hours playing in the shady fig trees. The main highlight is the timber fort built with a rope bridge suspended between two trees and built around a tree trunk. A colourful train is also a favourite; it features several carriages and compartments and many holes and tunnels where children can climb through.

Dick Caplick Park also has other playground features, including rocking animals, swings, spinners, see-saws, and a giant spinning wheel, the only one of its kind in the Sunshine Coast. The Replay climbing ball is impressive, too; it’s not surprising why families love visiting this park so much!

Beside the park, a spacious grassy area makes the ideal destination for picnics and a game of frisbee, soccer, or any other outdoor sport. Older kids will have a grand time playing on the basketball court or the half hoop. Other amenities include BBQ facilities, picnic benches, gazebos, concrete pathways, toilets and disabled facilities, and imaginative play spaces.

The park is easily accessible thanks to a convenient location with lots of parking areas. It’s also located right next to the famous Eumundi Markets, though keep in mind that it’s best to visit early to secure parking when visiting during market days. Market days are on Wednesdays from 8am to 1:30pm and Saturdays, 7am to 2pm. The Eumundi Markets are worth visiting for, renowned for their fantastic artisan wares. It is also one of the biggest and best craft markets in the country.
