Centenary Lakes Park

Centenary Lakes Park is one of the most tranquil destinations in Caboolture.

Located along the Caboolture River banks, this vibrant parkland is a stunning location for a picnic or outdoor event, running, relaxing, and even nature photography.

Centenary Lakes Park, Address, Walking Track, Facilities, Caboolture QLD

The park is equipped with a playground, toilets, sheltered picnic tables, car park, and BBQ pits with wheelchair and pram-accessible areas. Though it’s located right within the busy town centre, once you get here, you can’t even tell because it’s an oasis of peacefulness, making it an excellent place to catch a break during your busy workday. The lakes are home to many birds, ducks, and cockatoos which are adorable to observe and photograph.

Centenary Lakes Park has established a reputation for being a great outdoor wedding venue too. With such a scenic environment, who wouldn’t want to say I Do here? They have several wedding areas that couples can choose from; wedding area 1 is recommended for large gatherings and ceremonies with a ferny area and the lake as the background. It’s 20 metres by 10 metres large. Wedding area 2 is 20 metres by 8 metres; it’s a secluded space by the lake’s edge and can accommodate smaller ceremonies. Wedding area 3 is 30 metres by 25 metres, and you can choose to have the ceremony beneath a large tree or in the grassy area. Lastly, wedding area 4 is a spacious lush green area surrounded by shady trees; it’s 30 metres by 15 metres in size.

The park is also part of the 10,000 steps programs developed by the Moreton Bay Region. This is a terrific fitness challenge to participate in; it begins from the Stringfellow Road then loops around the Centenary Lakes Park perimeter. Some fitness equipment is available, which is placed along the walking loop that is free to use.

Centenary Lakes Park is a picturesque destination that you’ll find many reasons to visit, time and again.
