Bribie Island Butterfly House, Opening Hours, Entry Prices, Bongaree QLD
Visitors will get to learn more about butterflies, butterfly-attracting plants, caring for butterflies, and knowledge about other helpful garden insects. No other place in the area allows you to have such an intimate interaction with butterflies in their natural environment. One of the major highlights is a breeding lab where you are given the chance to learn about butterfly breeding.
The Bribie Island Butterfly House is situated on the Archer’s residential property right on Banksia Beach in Bribie Island. It houses a 24 m x 10 m x 4 m tunnel house draped in green shaded cloth, wheelchair access, 10 meters of glass windows for viewing, a breeding lab and much more.
More importantly, this is a project with a heart. The Archers have donated part of their earnings to charity, supporting causes such as poverty, business loans for the poor, education, and health. The Butterfly Plants for Poverty project continues to accept volunteers, so if you have some time, do reach out to them to see how you can help the less fortunate through humanitarian projects both in Australia and abroad.
The Bribie Island Butterfly House is open throughout the year. This attraction is famous among all ages, so be sure to include it in your itinerary.
