Boiling Pot Lookout

Boiling Pot Lookout is the first scenic viewpoint within the Noosa National Park coastal walk track.

Visitors stop by here on their way to explore other lookouts while taking in the dramatic views of Noosa North Shore and Tea Tree Bay.

What makes this lookout different among others is that it gives visitors a unique viewpoint from where they can see surfers as well as dolphins, and even a whale if you’re lucky! Just keep an eye out for the heart-shaped area in the granite beneath the lookout; when the waves roll in, the hollow froths up like a cauldron – and that’s where Boiling Pot Lookout gets its name from.

In 2013, the National Parks authorities unveiled an upgraded park with several improvements. These included new railings, seats, drainage, track surfacing, retaining walls, and engineering touch-ups, particularly on the concrete work and below-ground steel. All of these are greatly appreciated as the Boiling Pot Lookout continues to swell in popularity. Because of this, it will continue to be one of the best vantage points in the area for residents and tourists alike as they explore Noosa National Park.

As you go on to discover the rest of the park, it’s easy to see why it’s reputed to be home to the most beautiful coastlines in South East Queensland. The Noosa Heads headland is particularly famous, but other destinations worth visiting include Lake Weyba, Emu Mountain, and the lowlands found on the way to Coolum Beach.

Several endangered wildlife species thrive in the park, so being a responsible visitor at all times is critical. You may stumble upon some of these animals: the ground parrot, glossy black cockatoo, koala, wallum froglet, or red goshawk. You can take photos of them, but don’t try to touch them.

Boiling Pot Lookout in the Noosa National Park is a top destination in the Sunshine Coast, and for a good reason. Be sure to make time during your visit to explore this fantastic region.

The viewing point is one of the many famous sights that will captivate you during your visit to Noosa Heads. After all, this is a well-loved tourist destination, especially by visitors who love a simple, laid-back coastal ambience.

The heart of town is where you will find excellent shopping, dining, drinking, and entertainment. There are many accommodation options to choose from, with something to cater to everyone regardless of your holiday style. Whether it’s a luxury beachfront resort, a family-friendly house rental, or a budget-friendly hotel, you’ll find it here.

Don’t miss out on swimming at the Noosa Main Beach, walking through the forest within the national park, and going on picnics while here.
