Visitors can get up close and personal with these magnificent creatures. Feed them or even join the volunteers as they get in the water with the dolphins. Fish for feeding dolphins is available on site, and it’s only a small fee of $10 to feed them. Do bring a change of clothes because you may get soaked up to your knees when you feed the dolphins in the water.

The Barnacles Dolphin Centre is a major attraction for visitors of the Cooloola region. Bring the whole family to experience these beautiful mammals in the wild; they usually arrive early, so it’s best to get to the centre by 7am.

There are rules to follow to ensure a respectful experience for the dolphins; most of all, avoid touching them. The Queensland Government closely regulates dolphin feeding, but you’ll be fine as long as you follow the guidelines.

After a morning with the dolphins, head over to the Barnacles Café to enjoy a meal and refreshments while you take in the views of Snapper Creek. Parking is available on site.

Booking in advance is recommended for your visit to the Barnacles Dolphin Centre. It will be one of the most memorable days of your life, guaranteed!
