Alexandria Beach

Alexandria Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Sunshine Coast.

Located between Devils Kitchen and Hells Gates within the Noosa National Park, the beach is characterised by golden sands and stunning turquoise waters.

Fondly referred to as “A-Bay” by the locals, this beach was off the beaten path for a long time until only very recently. However, because it’s pretty isolated, it seemed to attract nude bathers. Remember that the beach is around half an hour away from the city, so make sure that you bring food and water since the beach is devoid of any tourist amenities.

Having said that, if you want to be one with nature and far away from people, Alexandria Beach is the place to go. Soak up some sun or watch the surfers from afar. Swimming is only advisable in the shallow end since it is an unpatrolled beach.

While visiting, be sure to check out the other gems of the Noosa National Park. Home to the breathtaking scenery of the Noosa Headland, there are several great beaches and natural attractions to explore, particularly around Peregian, Coolum, and Lake Weyba. The park is a wildlife sanctuary and home to majestic trees, including woodland, eucalypt forest, melaleuca wetland, and vine-strewn rainforest.

Alexandria Beach should be at the top of your list when visiting the Sunshine Coast. Perfect for seclusion and quality beach time, you won’t be disappointed.
