The Currimundi Lake (Kathleen McArthur) Conservation Park is a popular nature reserve famous for excellent outdoor family activities such as bushwalking and canoeing.
It was named after a conservationist, local artist, and founder of the Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland, Kathleen. McArthur.

The park is home to a thriving array of colourful heath wildflowers that come in full bloom during the spring and late winter months. It’s a truly fantastic place to be if you love nature: there are many species of coastal birds to observe, several of which drop by the park to drink nectar from the flowers.
When visiting Currimundi Lake (Kathleen McArthur) Conservation Park, keep in mind that everything here is protected. It is forbidden to touch anything in the park, including plants, animals, rocks, and the soil. Pets are prohibited as their presence may interfere with other wildlife. Please do remember to pick up your rubbish. The best way to explore the park is on foot since scooters and bicycles are not permitted within the park.
After your walk, check out the Loop the Lake Walk at Currimundi Lake. It’s a scenic way to explore all sides of the lake, crossing over the bridge. The lake’s end is a fantastic place to go for a swim, especially if you’d like to cool down following your day’s adventures.
The Currimundi town centre is home to many wonderful cafes and eateries where you can refuel after the park.
