Located in Marcoola, Queensland, the Sunshine Coast Airport is just an hours drive north from Brisbane and is easily accessible via the Sunshine Motorway.

The airport has one terminal and is one storey high. Therefore, there are no aerobridges, and passengers must walk onto the tarmac to reach their aircraft. There are a few food outlets within the terminal for passengers and a general store that sells drinks, books, magazines, and other travel items.

Airlines that use this airport include Jetstar, Virgin Australia and Air New Zealand. Each of the three airlines operating has dedicated check-in desks and gates and provide flights to and from Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland each day. There are two baggage carousels and TV monitors with arrival and departure information. The departure lounge is relatively large, with seating available for about 300 people.

The Sunshine Coast Regional Council operates the airport. It has several public transport services, including on-site car parking, car rental facilities, a taxi rank, shuttle bus services and hire-car desks.
